I said before that in old times at Irish wedding ceremonies, honey mead was drunk, but do you know why?新郎の男盛りを成長させるためになんだよ！It is said to promote virility in the groom!９ヶ月後に子供が出来たら、はちみつ酒のおかげってみんなが言いました
If a baby was born 9 months after the wedding, it was said to be the result of the mead!結婚式だけではなく特別なゴブレットから１ヶ月間毎日飲み続けた
But mead was not just drunk at the wedding ceremony, it was drunk from a special goblet for a full month after.その習慣からハニームーン（ハネムーン）が生まれたんだって！！This is where the word honeymoon originiated it is said!!妖精が新婦を掘り出せないように飲んでいた！In old times it was said to prevent the bride being spirited away by fairies!妖精がきれいな物が好きで、一番好きな物はきれいな新婦らしい！
Fairies really love all beautiful things, and their favourite is beautiful newlywed brides!だから、結婚式でも新婦が踊る時に両足を床面から上げられない！笑So the newlywed bride had to be careful to keep both feet on the ground when dancing at her wedding, so she wouldn't be swept away by the fairies! LOL自分の結婚式で歌うのは運が悪いし緑色の洋服を着るのも運が悪い！It is also considered bad luck to sing at your own wedding!アイルランドの昔話では妖精が何回もきれいな新婦を掘り出していたから、アイルランド人は特に迷信な人種ですIn ancient Irish fairytales and myths, fairies were said to have whisked away many beautiful brides, so the Irish were very superstitious folk!結婚式の当日の天気によって、生活に運がいいか悪いか決まっていたし！Depending on the weather on your wedding day, it was decided whether you would have luck or not!晴れたら凄くいい意味だったけど雨か曇っていたら運が凄く悪くなるって意味だった！If it was fine, you had great luck, but if it was cloudy or even rainy, it was said to be terribly bad luck!どうしても晴れて欲しいなら、キリスト教では教会の前にプラハの赤子の像をおく習慣もある！
If you wanted it to be sunny no matter what, in Catholic tradition, people left a statue of the infant of Prague outside the church where you are to be married!色々な面白い習慣がありますThere are so many interesting traditions!ウェディングケーキでも習慣がある！There are traditions for wedding cakes too!一番上の層がアイリッシュウィスキーのケーキにして、最初の子供が生まれるまでの洗礼式を持つ！
